In the morning of June 14, 2011, at the Office of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) the 2nd meeting of JICA-STAMEQ Joint Coordination Committee of the Project on Strengthening the System and Operation of Standard and Conformity was organized.
Participating in the meeting were Mr. Tran Van Vinh –STAMEQ’s Deputy Director, the Project Director; Mr. Ngo Tat Thang– Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation; Mr. Tsuno Motonori –Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam Office; Mr. Norio Ishizaki –Chief Advisor of the project and some other people.
Delivering a speech in the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnamese side, Mr. Tran Van Vinh expressed his sincere thanks for JICA Office in particular and Japanese Government in general for supports the Directorate to implement this Project. On behalf of the Directorate, he highly appreciated efforts of the Directorate’s staff and called for a closer coordination among relevant stakeholders for betterimplementation of the project.
In the meeting, the two parties have reviewed what have done over the past time and came to agreements on the implementation plan in the coming time. The main content of the plan included providing some remaining equipment, continuing the training in Japan, meeting some short-term consultants and organizing some workshops within the Project’s framework.
